Edukado who?
WHY
At edukado, we strive for solidarity, tolerance and justice so that everyone has the chance to participate in society on an equal footing. We believe that education is the key.
HOW
Therefore, we cooperate in the development and accessibility of quality education, and encourage the exchange of knowledge and culture.
What
We do this by organising education-related construction projects, where intercultural cooperation is always a fixture.
The Edukado collaboration
The 'Changemakers'
- An influential figure (or figures) from a less privileged society (developing country)
- Has the will to elevate his/her society
- Seeks a collaboration to solve an education-related structural problem
- Is willing to host a group of young adults and provide accommodation during the development of the project on site
- Is willing to stimulate a cultural exchange
The Students
- A group of young adults from Belgium
- Has the will to help less privileged people
- Committed to working out the project for 1 year
- Are willing to live according to the local culture during the elaboration during the summer months
- Are curious about foreign countries and other cultures
Our history
Edukado was founded in 2009 by some friends and fellow students during their studies. Today, Edukado has 7 board members, we have realised 13 projects and directly impacted more than 100 students.
